How to make quinoa + easy recipes!

I regularly hear people around me who have never made quinoa. Well there is nothing wrong with this but I thought maybe it is because it may seem difficult for those who have never made it. This is certainly not the case, so today an article about How to make quinoa!

What do you need

.a pack of quinoa, for example from Lassie

.a saucepan

.a narrow colander (do you call it that?)

.water

.o and a hob or gas stove ??

Preparation

Based on the photos below, I show how easy it is to cook quinoa, ready in 10 minutes!

I often use Lassie's quinoa, but you can use any kind you want. For 2 or 3 people I often use half a pack. I leave the rest in the package with a squeezer on it, always good.

Pour the quinoa into a narrow colander and rinse briefly with cold water.

With a spoon you scoop the rinsed quinoa in a saucepan.

Now pour in cold water up to 1 cm above the quinoa. If you have added a little too little water, you can add more water later, so you can't go wrong.

When the water boils, put the lid on and let it boil on a very low heat for about 8 minutes. Occasionally see if it is still cooking, but it should not go too fast. All hard quinoa seeds now absorb the water. If the quinoa is already boiled dry and it doesn't look like the picture below, add a little water and put the lid back on.

The quinoa is ready after 8 minutes and then looks like the picture. The quinoa is puffed. The seeds are now bulbous and have a small white edge. Then the quinoa is ready.

On this photo you can clearly see what the quinoa looks like when it is cooked. You can now leave the quinoa in the pan (remove it from the heat). Or you let it cool and then freeze it in portions.
